What can we do? There is strong precedent in strong, prayerful expectant fathers. The father pacing the floor while a wife is in delivery is not likely to change the outcome of her labor, but he knows he can go to God in prayer. He believes God is there. And God is more and can do more than he can. He’s willing to pray for his family even if no one else does. He remembers this special time when no one is there but he and God. We can say in this that human willingness is important.
The glory, the power, and the honor of God is not in the storehouse of God but in the living, breathing daughters and sons of God, as representative parents to our family. Life goes on, and life demands love. God wants everyone to succeed in true love. You must be agents of love, not those who lead life under the guise of goodness, without power, or feeling betrayed. Our history is one of ups and downs, failure and success. Anyone can be labelled a failure at some time in their lives. We are not trying to celebrate the life of someone who is 100% correct throughout life, but asking who can love the most?
If we want to rip ourselves from the past but still move forward with God, we have to move forward with Her, and ask Her of Her capacity. The disparity of gender is everywhere but our power is our knowledge of this. Remember that more and more people are affected by the femininity of God. Pick up the phone, and dial a friend. Hear them. If you can, offer a word of hope. Re-evaluate your faith. And, when you have finished doing your good deeds and fall on your face in sadness, remember God is watching and I will respond, with love, in love and out of love. I am looking for a place to dwell, to reside. You already know this. Let Me live in you, and search your soul.
